Description:
When I bought this rifle about 40 years go the barrel had been shortened to 22 inches and it was equipped with a Lyman receiver sight. Since the barrel had already been modified, I had a Ruger No.1 quarter rib installed and mounted an extended eye relief scope in scout rifle configuration to retain the receiver sight with the option of a scope. The scope is a Leupold 2.5 X 28mm Scout. The rifle is in overall excellent condition. The stock is not original,but it is well executed and similar to the original style, with a steel grip cap and Pachmayr pad. LOP is 13 1/2 inches. The bolt handle knob has been flattened on the bottom and stippled. The original manufacture date was 1959. This is a very handy rifle and a good shooter.
