Here's an excellent original Civil War First Model Maynard Carbine. Most of these went south to the Confederacy. This gun has a period nickel finish. The wood is in excellent condition and is extremely sound with nice wood to metal fit. Markings are mostly very good. There is an interesting "No.19" on the butt plate however I'm unsure what that refers to. Mechanically excellent. You'll be very happy with this carbine for the money.
