Description:
For sale is a pre-64 Winchester Model 70 375 H&H. Rifle was manufactured in 1937 having serial number 4622. Bolt is correctly serial numbered to the gun. This rifle is configured with a straight taper barrel. Of the approximately 428 375 H&H rifles produced in 1937, roughly 100 have this straight taper barrel configuration. The bore is perfect having no signs of wear or pitting. The barrel and receiver show slight handling wear with a few minor scratches on the barrel. The floor plate has flaking typical to the period and a few light scratches. The original rubber recoil pad remains without deterioration showing some sign of standing in the gun safe. Wood finish has a few handling marks and one small chip that was repaired adjacent to the rear sight base. This rifle was delivered with an early Lyman long-slide receiver sight. The receiver has not been drilled. 100% original swivels remain on the rifle. All finishes on the rifle appear to be original.
