Description:
For your consideration, an IBM M1 Carbine chambered in .30 Carbine. Markings on the non-potbelly stock consist of a crossed cannons Ordnance Department Acceptance cartouche and "BR-B" for Milton Bradley Co. The brazed type ? trigger group is marked "BE-B" and is assembled with a type ? hammer marked "WMB, "SG-B" marked trigger, and an "EP B" marked type ? crossbolt magazine release. The "AOB" marked slide assembly is a type ? while the bolt is a round type assembled with type ? firing pin and ejector both. Barrel assembly components are as follows: 12-43 dated IBM barrel with integral gas cylinder, "//" marked type ? barrel band, and N marked milled front sight. The receiver dates to 1944 and is fitted with a 2-position "L" rear sight marked "IN B" at left and "S" at right. All said, a splendid example of a mid-war production M1 carbine from a scarce manufacturer. .30 Carbine
