So I have possibly one of the rarest gun I have ever owned for sale , an Ithaca NID 5E 16 Ga , the gun was built in 1930 but it was not shipped until Dec 17th 1936 it went to Louise Wehle who was the owner of Genesee Brewing Co. the Wehle roots grow deep in the Finger Lakes region of NewYork . Not only was Wehle the owner operator of Genesee Brewing Co his son Bob started the famous Elhew Kennels who for many years bred world class pointers , Elhew is Wehle spelled backwards . I find it amusing the gun was shipped to L.A.Wehle c/o Genesee Brewing Co. it was shipped with another Grade 5 16 GA with 32'' barrels and a Grade 7 12 GA with 28" barrels sounds like Genesee Beer was getting into the gun buisness. The gun features 30'' barrels that are choked I/CYL - FULL .010-.025 , LOP 14 1/4'' DAC1 1/4'' DAH 1 7/8'' , wieght is 8.0 pounds , ejectors , double triggers . The wood is nearly perfect , checkering is sharp with no splits or cracks , there is tons of original case color , bluing is very good . More pictures can be had on request .
