Description:
this a total from the ground up custom 96 Swedish Mauser made by deceased master gunsmith Ed. Gilman of Hanover.Pa.the rifle is stocked in fiddleback American black walnet in the Mannlichler style. The stock has rosewood grip cap and fancy snabble fore end tip with white ( holly ) spacers.the barrel measures 17 1/2" with a perfect bore. Rifle is chambered for the 6.5 X 55 Swedish Mauser. Not sure if the barrel is a commercial barrel or a turned down military barrel. The rifle has open front and rear sights and has a four power Leupold scope with duplex reticles. The rifle is blued in a rich blue/black finish, the bolot has custom bolt knob and is jeweled. The bluing and the wood rates 98 % as does the bore.
