Description:
Colt 1862 Police Revolver. 6.5" Barrel. Serial No.7247. Produced in 1861. Identified to J.B.Clark and dated 1862. Cannot say which J.B.Clark it was owned by, as there are a bunch listed in the Civil War Data Base. With that being said we do know for sure, the soldier had the gun early in the war, 1862. A beautiful example with traces of blue on barrel and flutes of cylinder. No rust, smooth untouched metal. Very tight gun. No rattles. Grips are excellent with most original varnish. Action is fine. Screws are fantastic. Some original silver on backstrap and trigger guard. Bore is excellent . All numbers match. A great example of a 62 Police with a good original Civil War inscription.
