Description:
26 inch octagon barrel chambered in 38 RF caliber. Most original barrel blue remains with 3 spots of light pitting or oxidation on the right side. Possibly from poor storage as there is a little light oxidation on the frame and spots on the wood on that side as well. Appears to have the original sights with the addition of 2 holes that are plugged that were most likely for a scope. Very good bright shiny bore. Fairly bright vivid case colors on the top and left side of the frame with a little oxidation but most color remaining on the rest of the frame. Good blue on the hammer and rolling block. Buttplate and forend cap also still show case colors. Walnut perch belly stock looks good with most varnish remaining wear to the right side from the poor storage. The No. 2 is a smaller frame than the No. 1 and the rear of the frame is curved. All in all not a bad looking Remington No. 2.
