Description:
Colt 1878 12 gauge shotgun. Great piece of American history. The gun is chambered for 2.5 in black powder shells only, which this sale includes 31 of those shells. Gun locks up tight. Condition is determined by the photos, bores do have pitting and one small dent. I have fired this gun with these shells and taken a few doves with it, however you should have a gunsmith determin if it is safe to shoot. Shotgun was manufactured in 1882. Ebony tip is missing on forend, however does not effect function. This gun is all original and all colt parts. If you have any questions or need any other information, please feel free to contact me.
