Description:
This Winchester Model 70 Deluxe is chambered in .225 Win, a very rare chambering for 1965. This rifle has the original walnut stock with additional checkering and carved panels as noted in the catalog. Hinged floorplate. 22" barrel has its original front and rear sight along with front sight hood. Bolt knob is checkered.
Included in the pictures are photos from the 1967 Winchester-Western Sporting Arms and Ammunition catalog. As pages 4 and 5 verify (please see red circled areas), this is the Model 70 Deluxe with "masterful checkering" and "rich American walnut stock(s)".
