Description:
Remington Model 1917, chambered in .30-06. Features include: bolt action, 6 shot (5 shot mag.), 26 in. barrel, blued finish, adjustable rear sights. The rifle is marked Remington on the receiver and the serial number should indicate a manufacture date of 1918. You can also see the two eagle acceptance marks to the left of the receiver markings. The barrel is marked 'R' with a flaming bomb and a date of April 1918. The bolt has a flaming bomb proof mark and a 'J'. There is a Circle P on the underside of the stock. The left side of the stock has a cartouche of 3GM-K which is either a factory rebuild mark or an inspection mark. The mark on the rear of the stock, near the butt plate, is most likely a unit mark. Stock is in good condition except for the damage on the left side near the butt plate. Bore is somewhat clean with decent rifling. .30-06 Springfield
