US Model 1836 Martial Flintlock pistol by Robert Johnson of Middletown Conn. .54 Cal, smoothbore with 8 1/2" round barrel. Lock marked "US R.Johnson Midd Conn 1838. One piece oil finished walnut stock with iron mounts and furniture. Pistol still remains in original Flint lock configuration. Swiveled ram rod with stock having 2 light US inspectors cartouches and breech inspected "JCS" over "P" Condition, Very good with iron being in the bright with scattered areas of patina. Bore is dark and action operates properly. Stocks are complete with a repaired cracks at butt. Rammer is a contemporary replacement. ANTIQUE
