Description:
This Winchester Model 1876 is a right hand lever action rifle in .40-60 WCF Cal. It does not have a magazine tube but could be used as a single shot. The barrel is a 23 inch octagon. It has a blade front sight and an adjustable notch middle sight. The butt stock is a smooth grip hardwood straight grip. The forearm is a smooth grip hardwood with a steel cap. Serial Number 58798 (1886). This gun has been refinished and the butt stock possibly replaced. .40-60 WCF

Metal Condition: Has been reblued but shows old pitting marks. No magazine tube.
Wood Condition: Has been refinished. Forearm appears original. Butt stock looks as if it has been replaced. Both look very good.
Bore Condition: Fair. Has light pitting.
Barrels: 23 inch octagon.
Stock Dimensions:
LOP 13 inch.
Fore End: Smooth grip walnut with a black steel cap.
Butt Pad: Smooth steel crescent with a sliding door storage compartment.
Weight: 8 lb. 8 Oz.
