Description:
The Marlin® 1895G Lever-Action Rifle, chambered in 45-70 Gov't, delivers sufficient firepower to knock down any land mammal in North America. Marlin originally designed the 1895G as a "Guide Gun", though it serves anyone who spends time in the backcountry for defense against large, gnarly creatures. It is a fast handling hunting rifle for large game in heavily forested habitats. The 1895G has a blued steel barrel and receiver, and walnut buttstock and fore-end. The buttstock has a straight grip and a Decelerator recoil pad. Ballard style rifling stabilizes all types of bullets—cast or jacketed. The half-length magazine tube holds 4 rounds without changing the rifle's balance significantly. The Marlin 1895G Lever-Action Rifle features side ejection. Sling swivel studs allow for the attachment of a rifle sling for convenient hands-free carry in the field. A receiver-mounted crossbolt safety that effectively blocks the hammer from hitting the firing pin. Made in USA 2000. .45-70 Government
