Description:
Serial #TWT2067, .44-40, 5 inch barrel with a bright, excellent bore. This is the Smith and Wesson model 544 Texas Wagon Train Commemorative 1836-1986 revolver manufactured in 1986. The limited edition, cased revolver features the engraved commemorative logo on the frame with "1836 TEXAS 1986" on the barrel along with target trigger and smooth Goncalo Alves target stocks and comes in a custom etched, velvet lined Basswood gun case. In excellent condition the N target frame revolver retains about 97-98% of the original blue finish showing only very faint handling marks and a light drag line on the cylinder. The hammer and trigger show virtually all of the vivid case colors and the grips are likewise excellent. The case shows a few handling blemishes and scratches. One of the very few S&W revolvers manufactured in .44-40 and with a limited run of under 5000 made this is a relatively scarce gun that remains in excellent condition. FFL or C&R
