Description:
Marlin 39A Mountie, 22 LR, 20"barrel. S/N L15094, made in 1954. It is a Mountie although it doesn't say so on barrel. The Mountie name on barrel started in 57 or 58. It has a Weaver B4 scope that is clear and useable The mount is a Weaver N2 attached by screws in the barrel. These were probably done at the factory but could have been added later because fixtures were made to locate the holes correctly. The wood has been nicely refinished and has no dings.On the metal, there is an area of small dots on the left side of the receiver-see photo. These are not deep pits and are not felt with a fingernail. There are a few more very small dots elsewhere on the metal. This rifle operates perfectly. I have fired it within the last few days. The action is smooth and snug. Shipping will be $60.
