Mid-19th Century Belt Pistol
Here we present an antique Deringer Type Percussion Pistol, made circa the 1850s. This single shot pistol fires a .60 caliber ball. It is a medium-sized pistol and a good size for a civilian to carry overtly on the belt. It features a nearly full-length stock, hand-checkering, round Damascus twist barrel with a flat top, engraved lock & barrel tang/breech & trigger guard.
The overall condition is very good. Strong action. Good smooth bore. Very nice stock with less than average wear. A handsome offensive or defensive pistol from the mid-19th Century!
