This is a very nice all-original and handsome Eagle Arms Co. / Plant Mfg. Co. single-action, front-loading "Pocket Model" revolver. It is fully-functional with excellent mechanics. This is a very unique and interesting design that successfully got around Smith & Wesson's Rollin-White patent on bored-thru, rear-loading cylinders in revolvers. Made during the American Civil War, the Pocket Model is just a scaled-down version of the full size model, chambered in the .30 Caliber Cup Primed ammunition designed specificallty for this revolver.
