SN: 5638511. Made in 1955 with a 24-inch H&R barrel chambered for the .30-06 cartridge. Rifle is equipped with a stamped trigger guard, an H&R trigger group, an H&R bolt, a ""high hump"" gas cylinder lock, an H&R ""poppet valve"" gas cylinder lock screw, an H&R radius cut operating rod & the T105E1 rear sight assembly. The furniture was made by Boyt for the Civilian Marksmanship Program, so it is new production. Otherwise, this is an excellent all Harrington & Richardson M1 Garand rifle. Comes with a USGI M1943sling.
