Description:
This USED Daewoo Precision Industries DR-200 (otherwise known as the K2) is a gas-operated rifle chambered in .223 Remington. The DR-200 was manufactured for the civilian market and is based on the standard service rifle of the South Korean military. It features an 18-inch barrel with A2 flash hider, adjustable rear sight and accepts standard AR-15 magazines. It was developed by the South Korean Agency for Defense Development. This Daewoo DR-200 is the post-ban version of the standard Daewoo AR-100. The AR-100 was imported into the United States before the "Assault Weapons Ban" in 1994. The DR-200 was imported after this ban and had to have certain features altered to be legal. This rifle was the end result Korea's desire to create their own indigenous manufactured standard issue military rifle. The designers of this rifle took serious influences from the U.S. gifted M16A1 and attempted to use as many components as possible from its design to save time and money, such as the direct gas impingement operation, sights, handguards, magazines and chamberings and other components. .223 Remington
