Description:
An Early U.S. Mexican War & Civil War Military Issued "Simon North" Model 1816 Flintlock Pistol In Nice Untouched Condition.  All original and complete. The early pistol has fine and untouched metal with clear markings. It is marked on the lock in the center, "S.NORTH/U.S. EAGLE/MIDLN. CONN". This marking was double struck at the factory. The top of the barrel is marked. "P/US.  All of the metal on the pistol has a wonderful natural dark chocolate patina on it. The wood is fine throughout and has a U.S. Inspectors mark on the backside opposite the lock. The original wooden ramrod has its metal tip still on it. The pistol has a fine untouched look throughout it. Early U.S. 1816 Flintlock Pistols Are Hard To Come By Especially In This Nice Untouched Condition!
