Offered for sale is an “as new”, beautiful, light, 20ga Franchi Veloce “SP”, Side Plated Over/Under shotgun, part of the exclusive Benelli World Class collection. Made in Italy, with 26” barrels and weighing only 5lbs. 10oz. it is fast handling and lives up to its Italian name “Veloce”. The blued, chrome-lined barrels are threaded for interchangeable choke tubes, with improved cylinder, modified and full tubes supplied. These barrels also feature a ventilated rib with a white front bead and are chambered at 2 ¾ and 3 inches. This aluminum framed boxlock features a jeweled monobloc receiver, automatic ejectors, a tang mounted auto safety/selector and a filigreed top lever accented at the top with a gold crown. This Franchi features a gold, single selective, mechanical trigger with a checkered face.
The deeply engraved, gold accented side plates showcase highly detailed game scenes featuring flushing pheasants on the left plate and ducks exploding from a pond on the right. The bottom on the receiver features a retriever and the word “Veloce” in gold along with a gold accented trigger guard. The forend iron is also nicely engraved.
The Prince of Wales stock with round knob is made of nicely figured “Double A” grade satin-finished walnut with 22lpi and is accompanied with a Schnabel forearm. The stock has a 14 1/2” length-of-pull and is fitted with a beautifully carved wooden butt plate. A deluxe fitted hard case protects this beautiful 20ga to and from the field. This is altogether an elegant gun for collection, hunting or taking to the range.
