We are offering for a sale a SHARPS Saddle Ring CARBINE Rifle chambered in .54 caliber. This CIVIL WAR era rifle remains in good, fully functioning condition.
22" barrel is good with scattered wear showing a brown/grey finish. The bore remains clean with crisp rifling. The action is good with scattered wear; Grey finish. All markings are very legible. Falling block functions flawlessly with tight lockup. Hammer and trigger function flawlessly. Saddle ring and bar are intact. Sholder stock is fair to good with one closed crack on heel side; The crack does not go all the way through and could be repaired if desired. The forend is good with some field wear. No breaks or cracks. Original metal buttplate intact.
