At 37" and a litle l under 6lbs these are among the handiest little woods carbines every made. This one already has 2 pc Weaver bases. If a low power half tube fixed or variable scope were added it would make a deadly combination in the deer or hog woods (we have many used scopes avail...inquire) . Overall the blue and stock finish are nearly perfect with almost no hadling marks except as follows...there is wear to the trigger guard finish and 2 places where it appears the stock had been repaired (these were known for this..one forward of the loading gate and one on the left side of the forend back from the barrel band. These will not affect function and appear to have been properly done and do not detract from the gun's otherwise exceptional conditon. Many yrs ago we hunted with these in the tight woods of the North East where we are located and found them to be surprisingly accurate out to ranges of 75 yards or so.
When found in this overall condtion most are asking a couple of hundred more than this fine example
