Serial 182996 Bbl, 28" Cal, 16 Ga, Mfg, 1940. Blue finished barrels with single bead front sight, London steel marked barrels with lifter extraction. Single Hunter trigger with checkered varnished pistol grip stock with beaver tail forearm. Matching serial numbers on all componets. Vividly case colored action and sidlocks. Blue finished trigger guards and correct Smith pattern butt plate. Condition. Extremely fine with barrels retaining over 97% blue finish with brilliant bright bores. Receiver retains over 80% vivid case colors with slight silvering at balance point. Stocks are very good, remaining full sized with sharp checkering. Varnish is very good with some period of use minor flaking and impressions Forearm is very slightly loose.. Butt plate is correct but remains slightly over sized. Action operates properly. 16 Ga, 2 5/8" chambers Choked Full & Modified with 14 " LOP 1 1/8" drop at comb 2 3/8" drop at heel. A desired configuration being 16 Ga, in fine condition.C&R
