Description:
FRENCH IMPERIAL GUARD OFFICER OF INFANTRY PERCUSSION PISTOL CIRCA mid-1850s. Made for the Imperial Guard of Emperor Napolean III. Rifled octagon Damascus sighted barrel with swamped muzzle, about .60 caliber. Liege proof mark at the left breech. Checkered walnut stock and well engraved iron mounts, with engraved iron backstrap. The level of ornamentation might indicate use by a higher-ranking officer. In very good working condition. It is exceptionally well made and has a beautiful lock with bright, crisp internals. Hammer may be a replacement. The overall length is about 10 ½”.  I am not a dealer. This is from my personal collection and I am just thinning out. Money Order or PayPal. Shipping determined by buyer's location.
