Description:
Savage Model 99R Post-War fitted with a 24 inch barrel, checkered walnut forearm, checkered pistol grip walnut stock with plastic grip cap and serrate steel butt-plate, stsandard rifle sights (rear is missing its elevator), is blue finished, and chambered in .300 Savage. This 1953 vintage Model 99 is in fine original condition, retaining 95% blue on the barrel and 50% on the frame. The lever retains 20-30% of its original color case hardened finsh. The stock and forearm retain 90% of their original finishes, with assorted handling marks/scuffs. The butt-plate has turned a brown patina with some corrosion spotting. The bore is bright, with sharp rifling, and the action is tight and functions perfectly. The Bushnell Sportview 3-9x scope (duplex recticle) is in very fine condition, is clear and retains most of its orignal finish.
