It is fitted with a corrrect Lyman receiver sight and has a corrresponding higher blade front sight in the correct ramp/dovetail along with a folding rear sigt. This one retains nearly all the original blue and has the original butt plate. The stock and forearm show only minimal handling with tight wood to metal fit. The stock and forearm also have period removable sling swivels in which the base is secured to the stock and forearm with two small screws and the swivels insert at a 90 degree angle and twist to lock into place. A small spring holds everything in place and is simply pressed to release the swivels by turning in the base- simple and effective! Tight action and excellent inside and out. These are becoming really hard to find especially in .35 Remington as most encountered are in caliber .30-30. A fine 74 year old Marlin priced less than the new ones coming out of Ruger- and they aren't offering .35 Remington caliber.
