Lloyd & Son 12 Gauge back action sidelock on a Webley & Scott screwgrip third fastener nine pin action with 29 1/8" [74cm] Cyl/Cyl ejector barrels with smooth concave game rib and small brass front bead. Bores are very good measuring .0735 right and .0736 left. Minimum wall thickness .033 right and .032 left. Old barrel reblack remains at 99% Action has 60% coverage British scroll engraving which remains sharp and crisp. Bushed strikers. Action has gone silver but never brushed or buffed. Straight grip buttstock with nice color, contrast, and fiddleback pattern. Has had oil added but not sanded. Anson forend release. Double triggers. Automatic ejectors that are strong and well timed. Forend and buttstock are completely solid without cracks or repairs. DAC-1 3/4" DAH-2 1/4" Cast on 1/4" 14 1/8" LOP to a 3/4" Old English pad. 6lb 11oz
This is a nice Pre-War British sidelock ejector game gun that balances just forward of the hinge pin and comes to the shoulder with ease. It will work for the right or left hand. Remains tight and on face. The barrels ring. It would be an ideal candidate for choke tubes. Cased in a new modern leather cornered canvas trunk case. Priced less than an entry level Spanish sidelock. Excellent value.
