Description:
20 inch octagon barrel chambered in 44 WCF caliber with a good bore with very light roughness that needs a thorough cleaning. Barrel and full length mag tube appear to have been cleaned long ago and artificially aged. Mag tube still retains some blue towards the muzzle. Sights include a German silver blade front with Winchester sporting rear and a Lyman folding tang. Receiver has most glossy blue. remaining. Hammer and lever have a little fine pitting on them. Crisp action. Good looking fancy grade of replaced extra figure walnut is on this short rifle. Correct shorter forearm. Crescent rifle style buttplate. Early second year production upgraded Winchester.
