Extremely difficult to find 1969 Colt SP1 with original matching numbered shipping box and Colt Factory letter. Colt letter states it shipped in February of 1969. Approximately only 653 SP1s were manufactured that year making this the most difficult serial range to find for collectors. Rifle is in all original condition with an early style Edgewater buffer. Barrel is correctly marked C. Bolt and notched carrier are phosphated and correct. Having been fired, this rifle is in overall very good condition with minimal handling marks as shown. Original shipping box is in good condition, given its age, and is complete with factory label. Includes original period correct early Colt manual and factory warranty card. These 60s era SP1s have been steadily gaining value and popularity among collectors. Boxed examples like this, even more so.
