Description:
Vintage Winchester 1897, age approaching the century mark (1926) with a 765,xxx serial#. Functions just fine and is still a bit stiff in operation. The magazine dump buttons were a neat feature so one didn't have to cycle the rounds thru the action. Bore is bright and shiny, 20"" in length and marked CYL. Wood is very nice and is complete with the vintage Winchester buttplate with just the right amount of usage marks. There are a couple of marks on the barrel (pipewrench anybody) perhaps because someone didn't know how to take it down or who knows. The numbers match, receiver and front half, the bluing is good and seems original. The front barrel/magazine thingamajiggy is a bit different color (brownish kinda) as you can seee in the photos. This one is a C&R ok to most states- otherwise FFL needed and certified funds for immediate shipping. Business and personal checks wait a week to clear- sorry- no credit cards- etc. Insured shipping to lower 48 is $50
