Description:
1907 Colt Model 1902 Sporting chambered in 38 ACP with a 6 inch barrel and factory original high polish charcoal blue finish. Per the included Colt archive letter it was shipped to Los Angeles California September 30, 1907. This is a very high condition all original survivor. Most of the finish still retains a deep dark shine to it. The fire blue small parts are still mostly brilliant. There is still plenty of color on the cased hammer. As seen in the photos there are some areas of thinning and very minor scattered freckling. The grip strips themselves are way above average. Overall the finish rates 96%. The bore is bright and shiny with strong lands and grooves. The slide to frame fit is tight with zero wiggle. The chamber area is very clean. The grips are in very high condition with sharp checkers throughout and just a couple of tiny handling marks. This 116-year-old pistol will be tough to upgrade.
