Beautiful 1906 SAA "Wells Fargo" Colt revolver. 45 caliber, with 5 1/2" barrel. "W.F. & Co." Colt factory stamped on back strap. All numbers matching with the proper 'v' stamped on face of the cylinder. Excellent gutta percha grips not numbered to gun but correct type.'0178' stamped on left side of frame possibly a Wells Fargo badge or bin number. Mechanics and bore excellent. The finish is very fine, mostly original and believed to have been lightly refreshed by Christy's Gun Works of Sacramento, CA before they closed their doors in the 1960's.
Very fine, rare example of the iconic 'Wells Fargo Co.' service gun.
