For sale is a pristine example of a Winchester 1892 Saddle Ring Carbine chambered in 25-20 and made circa 1923. I bought a collection of guns about ten years ago and all the guns were like this one, bizarrely clean older guns. The original owner's family mentioned as kids they had to clean all the guns beginning around 1960, but they didn’t have any ammo for most of them. Lack of ammo saved them from abuse.
I’ve combed the internet and I’ve found no example as clean and original as this one. I’ve seen restored ones on GI selling for roughly the same price.
