St Entienne Berthier MLE-M-16 rifle 8MM .323" Lebel carbine, SN 24306, 18" barrel with strong rifling and excellent bore, 3 stripper clips, very good original blue, normal handling marks on stock, snall repairs on stock forend near front barrel band/bayonette lug, ALL NUMBERS MATCHING, and original leather sling, Top of receiver has "N" stamped into it. The "N" stamping indicates that the French between WWI and WWII modified their Berthier's with an enlarged chamber so the firearm could take the higher pressure round that was developed for WWII usage. Should be a good shooter but as with all old rifles have your gunsmith check it out. No California sales, buyer pays actual shipping, open to reasonable offers
