This is a 45 ACP caliber 1911 marked U S Property. I acquired this gun from a private estate (widow). From it's appearance i believe it was rearsenaled. It was owned by a U.S. Marshal and knowing his background, I also believe this is a WW era. No I have not checked the serial number. Other parts than the slide may be other than Colt (as is the Army's way during rearsenaling). Fully functional. Very tight. Includes one Colt stamped magazine. This is not a CMP gun but if it was I would grade the condition as a service grade. I believe it has not been used in years, however I fired one round through it this morning.
