Description:
FRAME. Cal. 16 Ga. 2 9/16". S# 144908. The 28" bbls. are marked "PARKER BROS. MAKERS. MERIDEN, CONN. TITANIC STEEL" on concave matted rib. All correct markings on bbl. flats & lumps, including frame size "1". All correct markings are also on the water table. Parker boxlock-type action features automatic safety & nickel-plated dbl. triggers. Action is engraved in the usual Parker "D" style with/ varying size scrolls surrounding single dogs on the sides, pointer on the left, setter on the right. "Parker Bros." is on the banner behind each dog scene. The trigger plate is engraved w/acrenelated round vignette of four flying ducks. S# is on trigger guard tang. Rnd. knob pistol grip buttstock of well-marbled & lightly figured European walnut measures 14 1/8" over the skeleton steel buttplate. The stock features the usual lozenge-shaped drop points, point pattern checkering & vacant silver oval. Matching splinter ejector forend w/ patent date on iron has usual steel tip & Deeley type Parker release.
MEASUREMENTS: BBLS: Bore Diameter: R .663", L .662". Restriction: R .026" (FULL), L .026" (FULL). Min. Wall Thickness: R .029", L .030". STOCK: DAH: 2 7/8". DAC: 1 11/16". LOP: 14 1/8".

UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: gun is accompanied by factory letter.
CONDITION: Very good. Bbls. retaining approx. 85-90% original blue w/ scattered freckling, most of which should clean. The action appears to have been cleaned to silver gray w/ traces of very light color remaining where protected. Stocks retain most of their original finish w/ a large number of marks & dings. Checkering lightly worn. Bores are very fine, bright & shiny throughout w/ one or 2 very minor pings. Action is tight. Bbls. are on face. Ejectors are strong & in time. This is a good-handling gun that measures well and should make a great shooter. (22-26/MGM).
