Description:
This is an original original khaki early WWII U.S. Army / U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) M1923 dismounted cartridge belt, made by the Burlington Mills Company in 1943. It is in excellent condition showing only some slight soiling from storage. The belt is made of khaki cotton canvas, it is marked " U.S. " on the front, and is stamped with the manufacturer's name and date on the back, "BURLINGTON MILLS, Inc. 1943". Metal hardware on the belt is blackened brass, except for main buckles, those are black-painted steel. Snaps are "lift-the-dot" type, inside straps have blackened brass snaps.
