Colt Diamondback, 22 Magnum. Manufactured in 1976. Appears to be unfired.

This Diamondback was shipped from the factory in June, 1976. The box is marked as 22 LR. The owner wanted more clarification and wrote the factory. The factory says it's a 22 LR and they never made a 22 Magnum Diamondback. Swanson Custom Guns, a Factory Authorised Colt Warranty Station in Denver, CO, says this one is a 22 Magnum, shows no sign of post-preduction reaming, and is in their opinion a factory 22 Magnum. The Colt Collectors Association and ColtFever have documented approxiamtely 20 Diamonbacks with 22 Magnum marked barrels. All of these were shipped with 22 LR cylinders.
This revolver appears to be unfired. The box is worn. The sale includes the Colt Diamondback 22 Magnum revolver, the factory box with paperwork, and the letters pictured in the description. Additional pictures are available upon request. Questions are welcome.
