This pistol is in all original condition. The bore is in very fine condition. The pistol is chambered to shoot the 45 A.C.P. cartridge. This Colt has the correct war time finish. The barrel is correctly blued. This barrel has the Colt 45 A.C.P. stamped below the barrel lug on the left side. It also has the small G in front of the barrel lug. The slide is also serial numbered to the frame. That serial number is stamped inside the slide Firing Pin retaining plate. This Colt shows very little use or being handled. The original military finish would rate a 98% overall condition. The magazine is the correct full blued style. The plastic grips are the correct style for 1942, This is a very fine Colt from the early war time production! This is certainly a collector grade pistol for the collector!
