Description:
For sale is a good condition Winchester Winder musket chambered in .22 short caliber. The gun sports a 28" round barrel #1 contour with a shiney bore and strong rifling. The coil spring high wall action has a crisp trigger and functioning half cock. The sights are a ramped front sight with a gold bead insert which is probably not original, The barrel is not drilled and tapped for a rear sight but uses a Lyman 1A rear tang sight instead. The metal finish is starting to turn a plum brown with a few blemishes here and there typical of a 100+ year old gun. The single band musket stocks have various dings and bruises but no cracks or splits. The worst on the forearm and buttstock are pictured. This is considered a modern firearm and must be transfered to a C&R or FFL license holder. Ensure your FFL will accept a transfer from a private individual. If a FFL shipper is required add $25 to the sale price. Shipping is via USPS ground with insurance and tracking for $50. Shipping to Alaska will add to the cost, No sales to Hawaii or any other locale that will prohibit purchase of this firearm.
