Description:
1935 Colt Official Police chambered in 38 special with a 6 inch barrel and factory blue finish. Per the included Colt archive letter it was shipped to King Sight Co. February 13, 1935. Any revolver with a King Super Target conversion is rare and to find one that is a direct shipment is very difficult to find as most were shipped to them after the original purchase. This one has the works including a King Super Target Full rib with a micrometer rear sight and red bead mirror front, King cockeyed hammer, and a King turned action. These king actions simply have to be felt to understand how good they truly are. Additionally they added a set of full target Ropers to this one. This revolver remains in very high condition. The original finish still retains all of its deep dark shine throughout. All of the leading edges are sharp. The backstrap of the grip frame is exceptional. As seen in the photos it only shows very light and scattered handling. Overall the finish rates 98%. The bore is bright and shiny with strong lands and grooves. The grips have one light impression at the lower left side and outside of that they are near perfect with sharp checkers throughout.
