Serial Number 213950 Bbl, 4" Cal, .31 Percussion Mfg, 1862. Colt's most successful percussion revolver, with Blue & Case Color finishes with one piece varnished walnut grips. Non-Fluted 6 shot cylinder with Wm Ormsby stagecoach scene. Single line New York address on top barrel flat. Brass trigger guard and backstrap with silver plated finish. Matching serial numbers including wedge. Condition, Very fine with 15% blue finish remaining in protected areas, 10% case colors with strong shadows on frame. Cylinder scene is very strong and crisp. Silver wash has worn away with age with 10% remaining in protected areas. Grips are very fine with over 90% varnish remaing with slight edge wear at edges of butt. All screws remain original. Cylinder is reluctant to rotate consistently and probably needs a new pawl spring. A very nice Civil War vintage Colt Pocket 49. Antique.
