NSN, made in 1854, .69 caliber, 42"" round rifled proofed barrel. Barrel is a brown/grey patina with freckled surface oxidation visible. Lock plate is marked with ""Eagle/US"" rear is marked ""Harpers/Ferry/1854"" Stock has light handling wear with faint cartouche visible. This rifle was altered with a rifled barrel and long range rear sight added circa 1856-1859. Action holds at half and full. Consignment
