We are offering for sale a Marlin MODEL 989 M2 semi-automatic rifle chambered in .22LR caliber. This is Marlin's version of the M1 Carbine. This rifle remains in very good to excellent overall condition.
18" barrel is excellent with bright clean bore showing crisp rifling. Bluing shows light wear; Crisp markings. The receiver is very good to excellent showing very little overall wear. Gun has been in storage for many years and could be disassembled and cleaned. Gun functions flawlessly. The original shoulder stock and handguard are excellent with minimal wear; No damage noted. The "Marlin Bullseye" is missing from the underside of the shoulder stock. Excellent factory buttplate.
