English proofed Octagon barrel with .52 cal, bore. 4 1/2" barrel with top mounted spring activated snap bayonet. Bag gripped and checkered with back action lock with German silver fittings in the style of Henry Derringer of Philadelphia. Swiveled steel rammer . Unmarked with exception of English proofs below wood line of breech. Condition, Very good with dark but heavily rifled bore with mottled brown patina on octagon barrel. Bayonet retains shadows of original case colors. The lock is floral engraved with slight oxidation on exterior. The one piece checkered walnut stock is very good with some bruises and a small shrinkage crack at lock screw. Action and bayonet operate properly. Antique
