This is a new take off from a 1895 45/70 when it was being taken off by the gunsmith he dropped it and where it it the floor the is a little damage that is strictly cosmetic and does not effect anything, I would put a little epoxy on it to seal it and call it good, you could use it as it is , these are going for $200 and up , great deal at $ 50+ ship , Call or Text is best
