Description:
Built in 1937 this investment grade Smith & Wesson .357 Registered Magnum, Reg. No. 1566, is equipped with an 8 3/8” barrel, original bright blue finish, checkered Circassian walnut diamond magna grips, gold Call bead front sight and square notch rear sight blade. The gun comes in the wonderful Type II blue picture box with the tissue wrap and green caution flyer. Overall a stunning example of the model that retains 99% of the original blue finish showing only faintest collector-type handling evidence. The bore and cylinder chambers are mint, the grip checkering is crisp and sharp, and the gun is truly untouched after all these years. A top-shelf pre war S&W that will be a centerpiece in any collection.
