Description:
Original Dutch infantry rifle made by Stevens in Maastricht in the Netherlands in 1873 as a single shot and later, in this case in 1890 converted to a magazine rifle.  They fired a 11.3 x 50 mm center fire cartridge.  This was one of the first metallic cartridges adopted by any military.  This rifle appears original and complete with sling swivels.  Most part numbers are marked Z662.  The but plate and barrel are marked 3336.  The stock is very good with faint cartouches.  The bore shows good rifling and the action seems to function fine. The metal parts are grey/brown. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.  Shipping will be actual cost by insured priority mail with tracking.
